Instant Juice: Syracuse 62, Georgia Tech 67
Relying on a full-court press for the first time this season, Syracuse was able to cut the deficit to 61-59 with 34 seconds left after Michael Gbinije tipped in a CJ Fair miss. But Trae Golden went 6-6 from the line down the stretch, and the Orange missed three of its final four shots to drop its four game of the season.
Syracuse left to ponder future after bad loss to Georgia Tech
The Syracuse Orange limps into its bye week after what can only be described as a dominating dismantling at the hands of the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets last week by a score of 56-0. Adapting to the brave new world of the Atlantic Coast Conference has been anything but easy. Through three games, Syracuse sits with a 1-2 record in which it has been outscored by a 115-38 mark.
Three keys for Syracuse against Georgia Tech
The Syracuse Orange opened its first Atlantic Coast Conference road venture in style with a 24-10 win against the North Carolina State Wolfpack last Saturday in Raleigh. Both squads struggled to finish drives as both Riley Dixon and Wil Baumann each punted seven times. The game remained tight midway through the fourth quarter with the score tied at 10 apiece. That’s when Syracuse’s running game took control.
