The 40 points rolled up by Andrew White III tied a Carrier Dome record for points scored by a Syracuse player and he tallied 29 points after halftime.

White became the second player on Syracuse and the third overall ACC player to score 40 or more points this season, pouring in a career-high 40 points to surpass a previous career-high of 35 set when he was with Nebraska.

Ben Lammers was the top scorer in the game, rolling up 23 points for Georgia Tech and blocking seven shots.

Syracuse has lived and died by the 3-pointer this season, and on Sunday, it was 8-30 from beyond the arc.

Rakeem Christmas sank a pair of go-ahead free-throws with 12 seconds left in regulation to lift the Syracuse Orange to a 46-45 decision over the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets in an ACC battle at McCamish Pavilion.

This game certainly didn’t win any style points. Both teams struggled heavily on offense but the Orange still prevailed.
