The sophomore forward responded well, scoring nine of the first 11 points of the day and 11 in the first 6:30 of the game for the Orange (13-0), who cruised past Eastern Michigan at the Carrier Dome, 70-48.

Syracuse built an early 20 point lead in the first half and the game looked on schedule to be a rout similar to the 84-48 result the last two times these teams met.

Former Syracuse assistant coach Rob Murphy, now in his third season at EMU, has been steadily building his roster and improving his team. Murphy started his career with a 14 win season before improving to a 16 win season last year.
