There’s plenty of Syracuse recruiting news as we turn the calendar into February. So let’s get right to it!
We start with basketball, where Syracuse made the top five of an elite 2024 forward. Marcus Adams Jr. announced his top five schools on Wednesday, and Syracuse made the cut along with UCLA, Oregon, Mississippi State and Texas. The 6-foot-8, 200 pound athlete from Narbonne High in California previously took an official visit to Central New York from Jan. 28 – 30.
Syracuse is also pursuing another forward in the 2024 class, as SU offered Okku Federiko from Omnia Academy in Helsinki, Finland. If the name sounds familiar, it’s because he’s the younger brother of current Pitt big man Federiko Federiko. So far, South Carolina, Syracuse and Pitt have offered.
Moving over to football, Syracuse extended an offer to 2024 Cheshire (CT) Academy tight end Luke Reynolds. Reynolds, who also played quarterback, has seen his offer list skyrocket since January, with roughly 10 schools extending offers. That list includes Army, Boston College, Dartmouth, Kentucky, Louisville and Wake Forest, among others. “It felt great,” Reynolds said about the Orange offer in an interview with The Juice Online. “Syracuse is a great program so it’s an honor to have received it.”

Another fast rising prospect in 2024 is Bolingbrook (Ill.) High wide receiver Kyan Berry-Johnson. Syracuse offered him last week, adding to a list that includes Bowling Green, Connecticut, Marshall, UConn and Ball State. Our Wes Cheng caught up with Berry-Johnson about his SU offer: “It felt good because it was my first ACC offer. So far, I think the coaches are very nice and good to build a relationship with.”
