Plenty of news from the Syracuse recruiting world as we turn the calendar from February into March…

Syracuse welcomed a key recruit over the weekend in the 2022 class. Combo guard Judah Mintz, a former Pitt commit, took an official visit and was on hand to watch the Orange play Duke. The Oak Hill (Va.) Academy prospect is rated 53rd in the 247 Sports Composite, and is also considering DePaul, NC State and Wake Forest. He will visit the Demon Deacons on March 2, and aims to have a decision by the end of the month. He was joined on campus by three other Syracuse commits who were taking official visits: Chris Bunch, Peter Carey and Justin Taylor.

Another 2022 Syracuse commit, Maliq Brown, had a standout performance in the VIC Championship game for Blue Ridge (Va.) School. He scored 18 points and added 14 rebounds as his team won the VIC Championship and he earned Player of the Year and All Conference Honors. Brown is rated a three-star recruit and the 233rd overall prospect in the 2022 class according to 247 Sports.

Over on the gridiron, Syracuse extended an offer to 2023 offensive lineman Elvin Harris from Chaminade-Madonna (Fla.) Prep. It was his first collegiate offer, though he has since received offers from Florida Atlantic and Bethune-Cookman.

Another 2023 Florida prospect that the Orange offered was Tampa Bay (Fla.) Tech’s Antonio Camon. He’s rated three stars by 247 Sports, and holds offers from Boston College, Duke, Florida State, Kentucky, Maryland, Ole Miss and West Virginia, among others.

Staying in the Sunshine State, the Orange also offered 2023 Osceola (Fla.) High’s Ja’Keem Jackson. The 2023 defensive back has a three star rating from 247 Sports and also holds high-major offers from Iowa State, Tennessee and Kentucky.

The Orange offered 2023 athlete Braeden Wisloski from Southern Columbia (PA) Area High earlier in February, and on Sunday, he tweeted he will be taking a visit to Syracuse this upcoming weekend for Junior Day. Syracuse is currently his only offer.
