NC State has been recruiting junior point guard Jamal Murray of Kitchener, Ontario, who is one of the top up-and-coming players in Canada. What makes Murray unique is that instead of heading to the U.S. for high school, he has attended Athlete Institute Academy in Orangeville, Ontario, which was created a year ago. “This has been great and one of the main reasons that I came here,” Murray said. “It’s close to home and I can still see my parents, and my dad for training. I’ve been able to keep my grades up, and it has worked out. It’s just a perfect fit for me right now.”
