Orange Watch: 2014 Syracuse football schedule has its ups and downs

Unless there is some sort of change to the protocol of the ACC Football composite schedule for 2015 and forward, we certainly hope the conference does not make both the Pittsburgh and Boston College matchups the annual final two regular season games, alternating odds years in the Dome and even years away.

Howard Washington, Class of 2016 point guard of Canisus (NY), has the potential to do some serious damage on the next level. Washington has received offers from Boston College, Charlotte, Boston U, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Canisus and Buffalo. He says that Syracuse, Texas, Notre Dame, Stanford and Cornell have had a lot of communication with him and his coaches.

Syracuse Orange sweep season series with Miami Hurricanes

Syracuse jumped out to an early lead on Miami (Fla.) Saturday afternoon, but needed to close the game on a 15-3 run to pull out a 64-52 road win. The second-ranked Orange (19-0, 6-0 ACC) led by 18 points in the first half, but actually trailed with under nine minutes in the game before finally putting away the Hurricanes (10-9, 2-5).
