Under Jim Boeheim’s tenure, his Syracuse program has a long history of developing four-year players from sparingly used freshmen to well-rounded, all-conference first team type seniors.
The basketball program has had a stellar five and a half year run: a Final Four, an Elite Eight, two No. 1-seeds, multiple No. 1 rankings, and a record of 157-36.
Syracuse’s offense struggled to score last season. Despite finishing second in league play to Virginia, the Orange’s offense ranked tenth out of 15 teams at 68.2 PPG.

I’m real excited. I think at this point everybody just wants to hear their name called. I had a really good workout in Phoenix. Their style of play fits mine, and I think with the young talent Phoenix has and me being a facilitator, I think it could really work well.
We should not, however, let the draft move too far away without trying to note some things for next year, particularly as these lessons pertained to the Syracuse players who were drafted.
