Recruiting Roundup: Syracuse commit Sharod Johnson to visit SU, Purdue, Illinois, Toledo

2016 New Jersey defensive end Jamal Holloway announced his commitment to UNLV via Twitter on Wednesday. Holloway had originally pledged Orange before decommitting back in January. He is rated three stars by Scout.

SNY.tv’s very own, Adam Zagoria, reports that 2018 Syracuse recruits Naz Reid and Louis King will be invited to the Under Armour Elite 24 Game on Aug. 20 in Brooklyn. Both hold Syracuse offers, and Reid recently said that Cal, Kentucky, Syracuse, Seton Hall, Kansas and UConn among those “working hard.”

2018 New York wide receiver/tight end Jeremy Ruckert is planning on releasing a list of top 13 schools later today, he tweeted on Wednesday. Syracuse extended an offer back in April, joining schools like Alabama, Florida, Florida State and Michigan. He is rated four stars by 247 Sports.

247 Sports’ Ryan Bartow writes that Syracuse wide receiver commit Sharod Johnson will take official visits to Syracuse, Purdue, Illinois and Toledo. “I’m solid for right now. But I’m still looking forward to other schools.”
