Syracuse freshman point guard Judah Mintz was able to get pretty much anywhere he wanted in the second half.

Syracuse adjusted its defense at halftime, and Monmouth struggled to replicate its first half success as the Orange pulled away.

Syracuse used a 24-7 run over eight minutes and change in the second half to take control and eventually defeat Monmouth at home.

Judah Mintz scored 24 points and added five assists, while Jesse Edwards had 12 points and 10 rebounds.

Though anything is possible, this game looks to be more of an exhibition game for the Orange against a team that’s won only one game so far.

For the second straight outing, Andrew White III paced Syracuse with a strong opening half.

Syracuse improved to 3-0 with a win over Monmouth on Friday night.

For the second straight game, Fair notched a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds. He had a nifty alley-oop from Brandon Triche for a basket plus a foul as he spun in the air to avoid Stephen Spinella.
