No. 9 Syracuse routs Indiana — Top 2013-14 Syracuse basketball moments

April 24, 2014 Wes Cheng

In SU’s 61-50 win over Indiana in the 2013 Sweet 16, the 2-3 caused the Hoosiers to shoot 33 percent from the field and 3-15 from downtown. The numbers were similar on Dec. 3, with the Orange holding Indiana to just 36 percent from the field and 4-14 from downtown.

Orange Watch: Syracuse basketball will never lose to Indiana again

December 5, 2013 Brad Bierman

Of course we know nothing compares to losing a NCAA Championship game, but there’s something we find uniquely poetic about the fact that since the Orange lost late to Bob Knight and his ’87 Indiana team in New Orleans, Jim Boeheim has not only gone 5-0 against the storied Hoosiers in the subsequent meetings, but three of the five were one-sided Orange domination.

December 3, 2013 Jim Stechschulte

12:40 without a field goal. That is what Indiana went through in the second half while #4 Syracuse blew them out after the break for a 69-52 win in their first appearance in the ACC-Big Ten Challenge.

Indiana Hoosiers — 2013-14 Syracuse basketball scouting report

December 3, 2013 Wes Cheng

Indiana looks like a completely different team than the one Syracuse faced in the Sweet 16. The Hoosiers lost a pair of high lottery picks in guard Victor Oladipo (Orlando Magic) and big man Cody Zeller (Charlotte Bobcats), who were taken with the second and fourth pick in the NBA draft.

No. 2 Beating top-seeded Indiana — Top 2012-13 Syracuse basketball moments

August 15, 2013 Wes Cheng

Syracuse’s vaunted 2-3 zone baffled and frustrated Indiana, holding them to their lowest offensive output of the season, and the Orange advanced to the Elite 8 with a 61-50 win.

Comparing Michigan to Indiana as Syracuse awaits Final Four matchup

April 3, 2013 Nate Federman

Michigan’s starting lineup of Trey Burke, Tim Hardaway Jr, Glenn Robinson III, Nik Stauskas, and Mitch McGary, the lineup that figures to see the bulk of minutes against Syracuse, reminds me a lot of Indiana’s preferred lineup (of Ferrell OR Hulls, Oladipo, Sheehey, Watford, and Zeller).
