Caught up with Brandon after his offer. Like most of the players SU recruits, he told me he was thankful that the Syracuse staff took a chance on him.
One thing that separates this recruitment: One of his coaches is Antwon Bailey, the former Syracuse running back who has been in Brandon's ear about his experience playing for the Orange.
"Coach Bailey has had a lot of positive things to say about Syracuse and his experience there. He’s talked to me about the tradition of the program, the level of competition and what it takes to be successful at that level. One of the biggest things he’s told me is that when you get an opportunity like this, you have to understand that nothing is given to you. You have to be ready to work and compete every day. Having someone I trust who has experience with Syracuse gives me another perspective on the program."
