Syracuse received a commitment from 2021 Woodbridge (Va.) wide receiver Umari Hatcher, he announced on Friday morning on Twitter.

Rated three stars in the 247 composite, Hatcher chose the Orange from a final list of six schools that also included Michigan State, Indiana, Maryland, East Carolina and Liberty. His other Power 5 offers included Penn State, Virginia, Virginia Tech and North Carolina.

He is SU’s second wide receiver commit in the 2021 cycle, joining South Carolina’s Kendall Long. Hatcher is ranked as the 27th prospect in Virginia, and 997th overall in his class, according to 247 Sports.

The Orange is close to wrapping up their 2021 class, with Hatcher as the team’s 19th verbal commitment.
