Battle committed to Syracuse

College coaches from across the country have taken notice on the incredible gifts Gill St. Bernard’s sophomore Tyus Battle has displayed on the court. The latest – Kentucky coach John Calipari. Calipari reached out to Battle, his father Gary and Gill St. Bernard’s coach Mergin Sina on Friday. “It’s an honor,” said Tyus Battle at Saturday’s Mary Kline Classic. “It’s great. Coach Cal is a good guy and it’s an honor.” UConn, Syracuse, Wake Forest, Maryland and Indiana are among the many schools actively recruiting the 6-5 shooting guard.
