Prince-Tyson Gulley and Jerome Smith powered the Orange to 376 yards on the ground as Syracuse captured its second Pinstripe Bowl in two years, defeating West Virginia, 38-14, on a blustery, snowy day at Yankee Stadium.
In its last three games, Syracuse has averaged 38 points a game, while West Virginia finished 7th in the nation with 41.6 points per game, and was 6th overall in its passing attack at 340.9 yards a game.
Syracuse will have to adjust to the traveling conditions as they enter a new conference in the 2013-14 season, West Virginia football players said during the Pinstripe Bowl media day earlier this week.
