Syracuse is playing its slowest basketball in 10 years
There is something special about this year’s Syracuse men’s basketball team besides its No. 1 ranking and undefeated record. During its impressive start to the season, the Orange has played at the slowest pace of any Syracuse team in the last decade – 61.5 possessions per game, according to Ken Pomeroy’s statistics.

It was another one of Jim Boeheim’s longtime coaching comrades that made news late Saturday night, a couple of hours after the SU boss had hugged his close friend Mike Krzyzewski following a masterpiece of a college basketball game in the Dome between the fourth (Duke) and fifth (SU) all time victorious programs and newly crowned certified ACC rivals, who get to go it again in Durham on Feb. 22.
