Syracuse guard Dion Waiters played H-O-R-S-E with fellow guard Michael Carter-Williams during the second half of Syracuse’s 95-70 win over St. John’s on Saturday.
The win gives coach Jim Boeheim 879 in his career, tying him with Dean Smith for third in Division One history. That doubles as the high-water mark for most wins at one university.
The center returned to the starting lineup and put up a career high 14 points and added three rebounds and two blocks as the Orange routed St. John’s 95-70 at Madison Square Garden.
Syracuse’s 95-70 victory over St. John’s on Saturday afternoon was Orange head coach Jim Boeheim’s 879th career win, tying him for third place on the victory list with former North Carolina coach Dean Smith.
