Saturday afternoon at the Carrier Dome, No. 5 Syracuse extended their dominance over Colgate, rolling to their Division I-record 46th consecutive win over their in-state rivals Colgate, 92-47.

All season long the players and Jim Boeheim have said this team can shoot. We hear about what great shooters James Southerland and Brandon Triche are in practice. Well, this game was pretty much like practice for the Orange. Syracuse beat Colgate, 100-43. The 57-point win equaled the biggest margin of victory of the Boeheim era.

Rick Jackson scored 18 points and collected 10 rebounds, and Dion Waiters scored a career high 17 points as No. 8 Syracuse (10-0) completely dominated Colgate (0-8) 100-43.

That was about as dominant as Syracuse could’ve looked. I was a little worried that Syracuse would have somewhat of a let down after a tough victory over Michigan State, but it was obvious from the beginning that it wasn’t going to be much of a game.
