With 2011 in the books, let’s take a look at the key members of the No. 1 Syracuse Orange and what their resolutions for 2012 should be to keep the team going strong, and march on towards New Orleans and the Final Four.
Syracuse had an easy time against DePaul last night. It wasn’t quite the 107-59 beat down from last year but it also wasn’t the 59-57 nail biter from the year before that. It was a solid win as the Orange improve to 15-0 and will remain No. 1 in the polls
One game after going scoreless, Joseph rebounded with a team-high 22 points as Syracuse rolled past DePaul 87-68 to improve to 15-0. He was one of five different Orange in double figures.
The Orange, coming off an impressive win over Seton Hall to open its Big East schedule, will travel to Chicago to play the significantly improved DePaul Blue Demons.
On Wednesday night, Melo himself was overwhelming, setting a school record with ten blocked shots as #1 Syracuse cruised in their Big East opener over Seton Hall at the Carrier Dome, 75-49.
