I expect the coaching staff will tailor the game plan more toward to what Collins has shown he does well in games, including leaning more on the run to take some pressure off him in his second start. I also think Collins will be a little more comfortable in his second start, as he acknowledged having some butterflies the first time he played.
One would hope so. Dino er I mean Fran could only go up from the Duke catastrophe, which was in part due to being thoroughly outcoached in all three phases. They tried an Angeli game plan with Collins and the results were predictably bad.
Defense off to a good start through two drives today. Offense seems to have been given the direction to be physical today... and a pick.

Jeff Nixon's real next task is figuring out how to attack the intermediate area of the field with Collins through the air. SMU is just crowding the line and playing tight on the release because they are not concerned about anything more than five yards downfield.
Well… at least I have my afternoon free now!!

Welp, that's it for me. Can't blame the defense. Collins makes one good throw and then several bad ones in a row. He should hit a wide open receiver a few yards away. Who's the backup? May as well play him. This is over. They'll put up 50 on SU's defense.
