Nassib has rough day as Syracuse loses

Syracuse’s quarterback had come into Saturday’s game against Rutgers having thrown nine touchdowns to only one interception in Syracuse’s first four games of the season. But Nassib didn’t turn in the kind of performance that Syracuse fans have become accustomed to seeing, as the junior quarterback threw for zero touchdowns and three interceptions in Syracuse’s 19-16 double overtime loss to Rutgers.

Improving Nassib poses worries for Rutgers

Nassib comes into Saturday’s game against the Scarlet Knights having been named to the Big East Honor Roll for four consecutive weeks. He had a 16-of-24 performance for 213 yards and two touchdown passes against Toledo, and is currently 24th in the nation in pass efficiency at 156.0.

Around the Big East: Week 3

With Rutgers taking the week off, the Big East had a modest improvement, going 4-3 in Week 3. Syracuse and Pittsburgh fell on the road while Connecticut lost a late lead for the second consecutive week. No. 18 West Virginia held on at Maryland while Louisville held off Kentucky. No. 20 South Florida and Cincinnati both won handily at home.
