2025 Camden (NJ) High quarterback Deante Ruffin picked up an offer from Syracuse on over the weekend, continuing his recruiting momentum.

The dual-threat quarterback holds offer from the Orange, Kent State, Pittsburgh, Boston College, Temple and West Virginia after a standout season for Camden, which went 10-3 overall and 5-0 in league play.

Ruffin played both defensive end and quarterback, and finished the season with 2,016 yards and 17 touchdowns through the air and 373 yards and nine touchdowns on the ground. On defense, he added 11 tackles with 4 TFL.

“It felt amazing to get that Cuse offer,” Ruffin said in an interview with The Juice Online. “It’s good to see work is paying off as I’m getting a shot to play at a big university.”

Ruffin visited Syracuse in September and took in the Orange’s 22-20 win over Virginia.

“The atmosphere was crazy there,” Ruffin said in a previous interview. “Fans were really into the game, especially on third downs!”

There’s plenty of time left in Ruffin’s recruitment, and he said he doesn’t have any favorites for the time being. But he’s certainly got Syracuse on his mind as his recruitment moves forward.

“Cuse is somewhere I could see myself play for sure, great people and a great environment,” Ruffin said. “Just excited to see what the future has in store.”
