It’s been another busy week in the Syracuse recruiting world, and we’ve got you covered on all the news as we settle into the middle of the football season in Central New York.

We start in the JUCO ranks where Syracuse offered 2023 Snow (CA) College offensive lineman Isaiah Jatta. He is ranked a three star prospect by 247 Sports and the No. 3 overall JUCO player. He committed to South Carolina in June, and took his officiail visit in September. Since his commitment, he’s also picked up Power 5 offers from Auburn, Oklahoma State and Illinois.

Staying in the JUCO ranks, Syracuse offered Navarro (TX) College offensive lineman Lysander Moeolo. Georgia Southern, Western Kentucky, Colorado State, North Alabama and Hawaii are among the other schools to have offered so far. The Washington native was originally a three-star prospect in the 2021 class.

Syracuse also offered 2023 defensive lineman Sam Greene, who committed to USC in September. Greene has a slew of other high-major offers including Penn State, Texas A&M and Boston College. The St. Frances (MD) Academy prospect holds a three star ranking from 247.

Moving away from the class of 2023, Syracuse was the first P5 school to offer 2025 wide receiver Mekhi Rossignol from St. Joseph (NJ) Regional. He already holds offers from Akron, UConn and Temple, with Duke, Penn State and Pitt also showing interest.

The Syracuse coaching staff used this bye week in part to travel, and Syracuse head coach Dino Babers flew down south to watch 2023 quarterback commit LaNorris Sellers. He did not disappoint, as the South (SC) Florence signal caller threw for 425 yards and eight touchdowns in a win. He also found his brother, wide receiver Jayden Sellers, three times for 65 yards and two touchdowns. Jayden was also offered by Syracuse earlier in the year.

Moving over to the basketball world, Syracuse will host a pair of 2024 prospects on official visits from Oct. 14-15 reports Syracuse.com’s Mike Waters. One of them will be Damarius Owens from Western (OH) Reserve Academy. The three-star wing is rated three stars by 247 Sports and is currently ranked 111th in his class. Aside from Syracuse, his offer list includes Alabama, Virginia Tech, Marquette and Creighton, among others.

Owens will be joined by Elijah Moore, a shooting guard from Cardinal (NY) Hayes. He holds a four-star rating from Rivals, and is currently slotted at 68th in his class. Among the schools to have offered include Syracuse, UConn, Mississippi State, Temple and Xavier. Both Moore and Hayes attended Syracuse’s Elite Camp earlier in the summer.
