2024 EDGE Brahim Wynn Jr. from Timber Creek (NJ) High liked what he saw from his Garden State brethren.

New Jersey’s Deuce Chestnut (Camden) recorded a pick-6, and LeQuint Allen (Millville) rushed for 112 yards and a touchdown, and both starred in Syracuse’s 59-0 win over Wagner. The win pushed SU to 5-0 on the season, the first time the Orange has started this hot since 1987.

“I got to see the South Jersey talent on Syracuse turn up,” Wynn said in an interview with The Juice Online. “I enjoyed watching the game a lot.”

There was little not to like about the dominant win, especially from the defensive side of the ball, where the Orange held the Seahawks to 50 total yards. On the other side of the ball, Syracuse QB Garrett Shrader went a perfect 18 for 18 while throwing for 238 yards and two touchdowns.

“My first impression is that (Syracuse has) a very dominant defense,” Wynn said. “Syracuse dominated and the QB (Shrader) had a perfect game in my eyes.”

Wynn is one of New Jersey’s top prospects with a three-star rating from Rivals, and holds an offer from Temple. He’s also receiving interest from UConn, UMass, Western Michigan, and West Virginia, among others.

Wynn got to take in the JMA Wireless Dome atmosphere, and enjoyed his time there.

“The atmosphere was amazing and the crowd was super loud every play,” he said. “The coaches were locked in. I can tell from watching.”
