2024 ATH Braheem Long took in Syracuse’s 22-20 win over Virginia on Friday and came away with an offer from the Orange.

Long also holds an offer from Temple, and now, he has his first Power 5 offer from SU.

“It felt very good to get the offer from the Cuse,” Long said in an interview with The Juice Online. “I’m very grateful to get the offer and I’m looking forward to building a relationship with the coaches.”

Long, who plays wide receiver and defensive back at Camden (NJ) High, got to see what Syracuse offers on both sides of the ball. On offense, he saw Oronde Gadsden II have his second straight 100+ yard receiving game, as Gadsden hauled in seven passes for 107 yards.

On defense, the Orange held Virginia to just 287 total yards and also forced two turnovers, including an interception from cornerback Garrett Williams.

Syracuse remained perfect on the season, improving to 4-0.

“I did enjoy the game very much,” Long said. “Syracuse is definitely a team that are doing big things and they interested me a lot.”

Another thing that interested Long about the Orange was the JMA Wireless Dome crowd, which brought the noise and was the catalyst for at least one false start on Virginia.

“The atmosphere was crazy from the fans to the players,” Long said. “Everybody had the same energy and it was very welcoming.”
