Plenty of recruiting news from the Syracuse world as we round out the month of March.

Syracuse received a commitment from 2023 tight end David Clement on Friday night, according to his Twitter. The Christian Brothers (NY) Academy prospect received an offer earlier in March during an unofficial visit, and he accepted during a second visit last week. Playing close to home (Clement is from Albany) played a major factor in his decision, he said to Sports Illustrated’s Mike McAllister. “Being close to home, they’re happy for that too because they get to go see me play in person.”

The Orange continues to look for options in the transfer portal, and hosted UCF defensive line transfer Cam Goode over the weekend. “Having a great time,” he tweeted during his visit. In 2021, Goode appeared in 13 games and notched 24 tackles, three sacks and four forced fumbles. He was a three star recruit in the 2018 recruiting cycle, and committed to Va. Tech before transferring to the Knights.

He was joined on campus by Jovan Clark, a 2025 linebacker from Morgan (Ill.) Park. Syracuse offered Clark in late January, and aside from Syracuse, Maryland and Western Michigan have already extended offers.

And today, Syracuse will be hosting Hillside (NJ) High running back Muwaffaq Parkman. The 2023 prospect holds offers from UMass and Temple so far.

SU was supposed to get a visit from 2023 Hudson (NJ) Catholic defensive back Hasson Manning over the weekend. But because of a scheduling conflict, he postponed the visit to April 9, McAllister reported. Manning holds offers from Boston College, Army and UMass, among others.

That will be a busy weekend for the Orange, as they will get visits on April 8 from 2024 NJ defensive lineman Brahim Wynn and 2024 NJ defensive back William Love. Love, rated a four-star prospect by Rivals, holds offers from Boston College, Connecticut, Georgia, Ole Miss and Penn State, among others. Wynn current has an offer from Temple.

Syracuse will also get a visit from 2023 La Salle (RI) Academy wide receiver Justin Denson. He holds an offer from Rhode Island so far.

The Orange offered 2023 Woodberry (VA) Forest defensive lineman Rodney Lora on Thursday. It is his 13th offer from a list that includes Boston College, Rutgers, Vanderbilt and Virginia. A day before, Syracuse offered Homewood-Flossmoor (Ill.) linebacker Christian McKinney. He holds a three-star ranking from 247 Sports, and also holds offers from Iowa State and Liberty, among others.
