Class of 2022 Blue Ridge (VA) School forward Maliq Brown committed to Syracuse on Saturday.

Rated three stars by both Rivals and 247 Sports, Brown chose SU over finalists Georgetown, Virginia Tech, Penn State and NC State.

Brown took an official visit to Syracuse earlier in October and named his top five shortly thereafter. He is a 6-foot-9 prospect who projects as a power forward at the college level.

Syracuse has three other commitments in the 2022 class, including guard Quadir Copeland, forward Justin Taylor and center Peter Carey. The Orange also continue to recruit wing Chris Bunch from Wasatch (UT) Academy.
