Dino Babers and his staff continue their efforts to upgrade the overall talent in the program. Currently, Syracuse has a single commit from the Class of 2019 in the form of 3-star athlete Courtney Jackson.

Jalen Hunt is a 3-star defensive lineman who recently listed the Orange in his Top 5 along with Boston College, Iowa, Michigan State, and Missouri. The Michigan native would add some much-needed help along the defensive line.

Omari Fiffer is an outside linebacker out of Jacksonville. Boston College, Iowa State, UCF, and USF are Syracuse’s competition for Fiffer.

Another Florida product is defensive back Cornelius Nunn. Syracuse is one of eight schools Nunn is considering along with Auburn, Indiana, Kentucky, Miami (FL), Nebraska, Pittsburgh, and Tennessee. Nunn plans to announce his choice on July 2.

Cornerback Artemus McCorkle currently lists Syracuse in his Top 7 with Appalachian State, Army, Chattanooga, Cincinnati, East Carolina, and eastern Kentucky. The Georgia native tweeted that he is still open to new schools.

From the one-who-got-away department, Syracuse recently lost out on 3-star athlete Damarius Good. The Floridian had the Orange in Top 5 along with Miami (FL), Pittsburgh, UCF, and USF before committing to the Hurricanes.
