Recruiting Roundup: Syracuse lands commitment from 2017 LB Nadarius Fagan

Syracuse landed a huge commitment over the weekend, adding 2017 linebacker Nadarius Fagan, reports 247 Sports’ Ryan Bartlow.  Fagan picked Syracuse from a slew of different elite offers, including from Alabama, LSU and USC.

That came on the heels of a Friday commitment from 2017 Bloomfield High School (Conn.) athlete Russell Thompson-Bishop via Twitter. His other offers included Boston College, Connecticut, Temple, Yale and Navy.

It wasn’t all good news for the Orange over the weekend, with four-star defensive back Jonathan Sutherland pledging to Penn State. He had also been considering offers from Syracuse, Boston College, Maryland, Michigan, Nebraska, Pittsburgh and Virginia.

Elite 2017 point guard Quade Green released a top 13 over the weekend on Twitter, and Syracuse has made the cut. The entire list is Arizona, Duke, Georgetown, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisville, Maryland, Seton Hall, Syracuse, Temple, Villanova, Virginia and Xavier.

Syracuse made the top five for 2017 Elizabeth (N.J.) St. Patrick big man Nick Richards, ESPN’s Jeff Borzello. The other schools on his list includes Kentucky, Arizona, Connecticut and Indiana. He is rated 5 stars by 247 Sports.
