Syracuse would like to add Thompson to its 2016 class

Good luck to Boeheim’s Army, which will be a No. 2 seed in the Northeast Region for The Basketball Tournament. On to today’s recruiting links…

2016 four-star forward Taurean Thompson committed to Syracuse on Friday afternoon, choosing the Orange over offers from Seton Hall and Michigan State. “Taurean has a great deal of potential and a very high ceiling,” Brewster coach Jason Smith told SNY.tv’s very own, Adam Zagoria. “I look forward to following his career at Syracuse University.”

Syracuse may not be done with its 2016-17 roster yet. Nebraska graduate transfer Andrew White will be visiting SU this weekend, writes Scout.com’s Ben Sigel. White averaged 16.6 points and 5.9 rebounds per game last season.

2017 point guard Quade Green picked up an offer from Kentucky during a visit to campus on Thursday. Green is also being pursued heavily by Syracuse and Duke. 247 Sports lists him as the 26th overall and the No. 4 point guard in the 2017 class.

NBA Most Valuable Player Stephen Curry took a picture with some of the stars of the future earlier in the week, and that includes 2017 Syracuse recruit Trevon Duval. Duval, who holds an Orange offer, is No. 1 point guard in the Class of 2017 from Advanced Prep.

Have a great July 4th weekend!
