Recruiting Roundup: Syracuse tops Michigan RB/DB Allen Stritzinger’s list

MLive’s Jared Purcell writes that Michigan RB/DB Allen Stritzinger has Syracuse at the top of his list. Other schools he’s considering include Michigan and Western Michigan. “I like Syracuse a lot,” Stritzinger said. “I love Syracuse. I’ve been there four times. My dad loved it and my mom loved it.”

Scout.com’s Brandon Huffman caught up with Syracuse quarterback commit Tommy DeVito after the Elite 11. The Don Bosco Prep prospect turned in a good performance and talked about his commitment to the Orange, as well. He is currently a two-star prospect.

Qadir White tweeted that he picked up two offers from Syracuse and Rutgers. The 2018 offensive lineman prospect from New York also holds offers from Pitt, Bowling Green and Boston College.

2016 big man Taurean Thompson visited Michigan State over the weekend, and a number of recruiting analysts have changed their predictions, writes Spartan Avenue’s Connor Muldowney. Among the most prominent to change his mind is 247 Sports’ Jerry Meyer, who is now predicting the Spartans. Thompson is down to Syracuse, Michigan State and Seton Hall.

2017 Washington DC defensive tackle Jaylen Twyman tweeted on Monday that he had received an offer from Syracuse. Rated three stars by Scout, he also holds offers from Michigan State, Pitt and Rutgers, among others.

2018 New Jersey wide receiver Kevin Johnson Jr. tweeted on Tuesday morning that the entire Syracuse coaching staff is coming to visit. Johnson is the son of the former Syracuse player who went on to star in the NFL.
