Recruiting Roundup: Syracuse offers Florida DB Lyn Strange

Florida defensive back Lyn Strange tweeted on Monday afternoon that he had received an offer from Syracuse. The 2017 prospect has 17 offers, including Illinois, Iowa State and Memphis.

2017 Brooklyn (NY) linebacker Olakunle Fatukaski, one of Empire State’s top prospects, has visited Rutgers multiple times, writes Scout.com’s Brian Dohn. Syracuse and Boston College are two others schools involved in his recruiting process. The Orange is currently trying to get Fatukaski up for a visit.

The Syracuse coaching staff will be on hand to watch Reading (PA) guard Lonnie Walker this week, reports Penn Live’s Brian Linder. SU has yet to extend an offer, but Walker holds the Orange among his favorites, along with Villanova, Miami, Oregon and SMU.

Syracuse guard Kaleb Joseph will transfer to Creighton, reports Syracuse.com’s Chris Carlson. Joseph averaged just 0.9 points in his sophomore season after appearing in every game as a freshman. Joseph has two years of eligibility remaining and will be next able to play int he 2017-18 season.
