Recruiting Roundup: Vosean Joseph to visit Syracuse; Jarrett Paul switches date

Hope you had a great weekend, everyone! Let’s get right to today’s recruiting links…

Miami Norland (Fla.) linebacker Vosean Joseph is committed to Florida, but the 3-star prospect is taking an official visit to Syracuse this weekend, reports Scout.com’s Corey Bender. Joseph has also visited South Carolina and West Virginia. He also holds offers from Louisville, South Florida, and Oregon State, among others.

Former Syracuse TE commit Chris Clark has now pledged to Pittsburgh. The No. 1 TE of 2015 has had a long and windy road, transferring from UCLA and seemingly landing with the Orange. But Scott Shafer and Co. pulled Clark’s offer, and Clark, who had narrowed his transfer wish list to Pitt and Syracuse in October, wound up at Pitt.

Tre Bryant, a former Syracuse RB target, committed to Nebraska over the weekend, he announced on his Twitter feed. Bryant had originally pledged to Kansas State before opening up his recruitment last week. Reports were that Syracuse had continued to recruit Bryant through his process, but Bryant moved quickly in picking a new school.

2018 defensive back Jarrett Paul was scheduled to visit Syracuse this weekend for the Clemson game. But Rivals.com’s Scott Brown reports that Paul postponed his visit because of high school playoffs. Paul is trying to schedule his visit date for the 28th, the last game of the season for the football team. According to 24/7 Sports, other schools involved in Paul’s recruitment include Rutgers, UConn, Maryland, ODU, USC, Virginia and Villanova.

Brown is also reporting that Johnathan Lewis, a 3-star quarterback from St. Peter’s Prep (NJ) is showing interest in Syracuse. Lewis already has offers from Boston College and Rutgers.

That’s all for today. See you all tomorrow.
