Kentucky assistant Kenny Payne checked in on Derrick Jones, the 6-foot-7, 190-pound junior wing from Archbishop Carroll (Pa.), his father told SNY.tv. “He just pretty much filled me in on what’s going on in their program,” Derrick Jones Sr. said. “Just trying to explain more about the program and not the hype of Kentucky. Everyone is picking Kentucky as a one-and-done school and everything and he was just breaking down how serious things are there and how they expect excellence from all their players. Just giving me the whole spiel about the whole thing.”
