Gill St. Bernard’s punched its ticket to its fifth straight final with a reverberating 77-58 victory over Ridge on the strength of 30 points from sophomore guard Tyus Battle. Hillsborough, meanwhile, held on to hand Montgomery its first loss of the season, 61-56, making 17 out of 24 free throws in the fourth quarter to keep its rivals at bay. The survivors will face off in the final next Saturday at Franklin after splitting the season series.
