
Plantation (Fla.) American Heritage cornerback Juwan Dowels has committed to Syracuse. The 5-foot-10, 160-lb corner made his decision one day after an official visit over the weekend. Dowels was originally believed to be a lock to go to Oklahoma, but both sides appeared to move on recently. He quickly scheduled his official visit to Syracuse and made his decision one day after the trip.
