Syracuse University basketball is under investigation by the NCAA, CBSSports.com reported on Wednesday afternoon.

According to the report, SU has received a letter of preliminary inquiry from the NCAA for an investigation. The school has been under investigation for a period of “years” according to the report.

The NCAA would neither confirm or deny the investigation.

“As we said last year at this time, we are collaborating with the NCAA as part of an ongoing inquiry,” said Kevin Quinn, Senior Vice President for Public Affairs at Syracuse. “Given this process is ongoing, we are unable to comment further at this time.”
