Pittsburgh made the game closer than Syracuse would have liked, but the Orange held off the Panthers, 62-59, in Thursday’s Big East quarterfinal. With the win, James Southerland and Syracuse set up a third meeting with Georgetown. The Hoyas won both previous games.
