McDonald’s All-American committee chairman Morgan Wootten said Syracuse-bound point guard Tyler Ennis of St. Benedict’s Prep simply did not receive enough votes. “We’re the only All-Star team that is selected by ballot, by vote, and quite simply Ennis was in the Top 30, but not the Top 24,” Wootten said. “And obviously he’s a great player, I’m not knocking that but the reason he didn’t make the team was that he was not one of the Top 24 vote-getters.”
