Reggie Spearman had a little fun Tuesday night while announcing his college decision during a press conference at Simeon High School. The senior linebacker pulled out a Syracuse hat before pulling a switch-a-roo and orally committing to play football for Iowa. “Naw, I’m going to Iowa,” said Spearman, who previously orally committed to Illinois in August. “It definitely was the people at Iowa, the players. I know a lot of players on the team. Everything just seemed to fit for me at Iowa.” But Syracuse didn’t come away empty-handed. Spearman’s teammate, offensive tackle Kendall Moore, chose the Orange. Moore invoked a little LeBron James when he announced, “I’m taking my talents to New York State and Syracuse.”
