The Syracuse University football program got its first commitment in five months on Saturday when offensive lineman John Miller of Los Angeles Harbor Junior College told coaches he would play for the Orange. Miller is a 6-foot-3½, 317-pound lineman from Carson, Calif., who has played mostly center the past two seasons at L.A. Harbor. He graduated from Redondo Beach High School.
