Editor’s letter – July 2011: Football season is upon us

Dear Juicers,

Can you believe it’s July and 2011 is already halfway over? Not to say that’s a bad thing. The month of July means we’re coming closer to the start of the football season.

And, with the Orange’s resurgence last year, there’s plenty of excitement around this year’s team. Coach Doug Marrone promised Orange fans a bowl game last year and delivered.

 What can the 2011 team do?

 With football season so close, we’ve got you covered at The Juice. Besides a complete preview of both the offense and defense, we’ll be previewing each of the 12 teams that the Orange will play this year.

Here’s a schedule for what to expect the rest of the summer:

  • Week 1, Wake Forest – July 18
  • Week 2, Rhode Island – July 21
  • Week 3, USC – July 25
  • Week 4, Toledo – July 28
  • Week 5, Rutgers – August 1
  • Week 6, Tulane – August 4
  • Week 7, West Virginia – August 8
  • Week 8, Louisville – August 11
  • Week 9, Connecticut – August 15
  • Week 10, South Florida – August 18
  • Week 11, Cincinnati – August 22
  • Week 12, Pittsburgh – August 25
