Syracuse v. USC report card

Syracuse hung tough with the No. 2 team in the country, having the ball and an opportunity to take the lead at the start of the fourth quarter. But in the end, USC was to physical and athletic, and pulled away for a 42-29 win. Here are my grades from the game.

Orange Watch: Syracuse improves, but not in the W/L column yet

So far through two games of this year’s vastly challenging schedule, the SU football team certainly passes the “look test.” It’s a noticeable step up on both sides of the ball with a no huddle, often hurry up offense under the direction of the calm and collected veteran Ryan Nassib, and a defense that has played admirably despite giving up 42 points a game.
