ESPN’s Bilas breaks down NCAA tournament

Jay Bilas joined ESPN as a college basketball analyst in 1995, and provides courtside analysis on more than 40 games a year, and as a studio analyst for ESPN’s weekly College GameDay and College Gamenight shows. He recently sat down and spoke to members of the media in a conference call to discuss the 2011 NCAA tournament. Here’s what he had to say.

NCAA East regional preview

Ohio State is one of the best shooting teams in the country as the Buckeyes shoot a combined 49.4 percent from the field, good for third in the country. It doesn’t hurt when their best player, Jared Sullinger has tremendous discipline with his shooting, hitting 53.6 percent of his shots, and their sharpshooter, Jon Diebler, leads the nation in 3-point shooting (102-204 from downtown).
