Syracuse won their 37th straight home game with a 77-58 bashing of St. John’s on Sunday afternoon. Michael Carter-Williams scored 17 points with eight assists, and James Southerland added 13 in his return to action. D’Angelo Harrison scored 13 points for St. John’s.
Ryan Arcidiacono hit the tying 3-pointer with 2.2 seconds left in regulation, and James Bell hit consecutive threes in OT to send Villanova to its second win over a Top 5 team this week, 75-71, over No. 3 Syracuse Saturday.
The Orange overcame a slow start and cold shooting to beat the Bulls 55-44 on Sunday. Brandon Triche had 20 points and James Southerland scored 12 of his 17 in the second half.
