Recruiting Roundup: Syracuse offers 2018 QB Devin Leary

The No. 1 Syracuse field hockey team beat its fifth ranked opponent of 2016, topping No. 11 Wake Forest on Sunday. On to today’s recruiting links…

Syracuse extended an offer to 2018 quarterback Devin Leary, he tweeted over the weekend. The New Jersey product already holds offers from Maryland, Boston College and Rutgers, and holds a three star rating on 247 Sports.

Syracuse hosted 2018 athlete Cory Gross Jr. over the weekend, and it appears that the visit went well according to his Twitter. The Brockport (NY) native lines up at running back and defensive back, and holds offers from Syracuse and Boston College, according to Scout.

Another 2018 prospect who was at Syracuse over the weekend was 2018 Pennsylvania offensive lineman Jake Kradel. He said it was a “good day up at Syracuse” on Twitter. The Orange was his first offer over the summer.

247 Sports’ Andrew Slater reported that Syracuse associate head coach Mike Hopkins visited five-star big man Naz Reid over the weekend. Reid recently attended Syracuse’s elite camp, and is being pursued by a slew of high-majors, including UConn, Kansas, Louisville, Maryland, Seton Hall, Virginia and Villanova.

That’s all for today. Have a great start to your week, everyone!
