Recruiting Roundup: Syracuse offers 2018 shooting guard Robby Carmody

Freshman DB James Pierre didn’t qualify academically for Syracuse. On to today’s recruiting links…

Trevon Duval, an elite 2017 guard, released a list of top 10 schools on Monday. The list includes Maryland, Cal, Oregon, USC, Kansas, Villanova, UCLA, Arizona, Seton Hall and St. John’s. Syracuse, once considered a favorite for Duval, was not included.

2018 shooting guard Robby Carmody tweeted on Sunday that he had received an offer from Syracuse. He is rated four stars by 247 Sports and holds offers from Louisville, Michigan and Notre Dame, among others.

2017 guard Hamidou Diallo holds offers from Duke, Syracuse, Kentucky and Indiana, among others, and now, he’s got a new mixtape. The Putnam Science (NY) guard is rated five stars by 247 Sports.

2018 running back Akeem Dixon from Vero Beach (Fla.) tells 247 Sports’ Ryan Bartow that he still has Syracuse on top. He also holds offers from FAU, Louisville and Bowling Green. “He’s pretty nice. He’s cool to me,” Dixon said of Orange defensive backs coach Nick Monroe.

2018 wide receiver Julian Major recently picked up an offer from Wisconsin, writes Pittsburgh Post-Gazette’s Mike White. He also holds offers from Syracuse, Boston College and Kentucky, among others.
