Syracuse is trending upward through four games

Congratulations to Syracuse hurdler Freddie Crittenden III for qualifying for the NCAA Finals, which will take place later today! On to today’s recruiting links…

2017 Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) defensive lineman Jordan Wright tweeted out his top 12 schools on Thursday, and Syracuse made the cut. The Orange is in elite company, with Alabama, Baylor, Michigan and Mississippi State among the other schools on that list. He has a three-star rating from 247 Sports.

However, Syracuse did not make the cut for another coveted prospect, Shaquon Anderson-Butts. The 2018 wide receiver tweeted out his top 3 earlier in the week, which consists of Penn State, Pittsburgh and West Virginia. Left off that list were Rutgers, Syracuse and Temple.

2018 defensive end Tyreke Smith tweeted out that he received an offer from Syracuse on Thursday. The Ohio native also is considering Iowa State, Toledo and Cincinnati.

Syracuse.com’s Stephen Bailey writes about the strong relationship between Syracuse quarterback commit Tommy DeVito and wide receiver target Eddie Lewis. The 2017 NJ wide receiver recently picked up an offer from Syracuse, and also holds offers from Boston College, UNC and Rutgers, among others.

SNY.tv’s very own, Adam Zagoria, recently spoke with Brewster Academy head coach Jason Smith, who said that there are no new updates with Taurean Thompson’s recruitment. Thompson had previously said that he would commit shortly after his visit to Michigan State over the past weekend. Thompson also has Seton Hall and Syracuse among his finalists.

Have a great weekend!
