SNY.tv’s very own, Adam Zagoria, reported that 2018 big man Naz Reid took a visit to St. John’s on Wednesday. Reid, a five-star prospect, is also being courted by Syracuse, Kentucky and North Carolina, among many others.

Scout.com updated its 2017 basketball class rankings on Wednesday. On that list includes Mohamed Bamba (2), Trevon Duval (4), Kevin Knox (6), Hamidou Diallo (10), Lonnie Walker (23), Quade Green (25), Nick Richards (32), and Jordan Tucker (50).

2017 LB/RB prospect James McCarthy announced on Twitter that he received an offer from Syracuse on Wednesday. The Middletown (NJ) prospect holds offers from Northwestern, North Carolina and Army, among others.

Former TCU quarterback Zach Allen announced that he will be transferring to Rutgers on Twitter. Allen had once been committed to Syracuse as a potential successor to Ryan Nassib before flipping to Horned Frogs after Doug Marrone left for the NFL’s Buffalo Bills. He had been considering Rutgers and Syracuse prior to Wednesday.
