2017 linebacker Dan Damico didn’t think of playing college football near home. But now, he’s reconsidering his options.

“I wasn’t interested in Syracuse before,” Damico said to The Juice Online’s Judy Salamone. “But now I am.”

Damico stars at nearby Christian Brothers Academy (NY), and was among a large group of recruits to visit Syracuse this past weekend.

“I got to meet a few of the linebackers and talk to them for a bit,” Damico said.

Damico is interested in pursuing a degree in business and marketing. While he has no offers yet, he is getting interest from Boston College, Cornell, Yale, Rutgers, and, of course, Syracuse.

“It was great to meet coach (Dino) Babers and the coaching staff,” Damico said. “They really emphasize family there. I got to see the facilities. It was crazy nice.”
